• The Brahmaputra enters India as the Siang/Dihang in Arunachal Pradesh and is joined near Sadiya by the Dibang (1) and the Lohit (3) to form the Brahmaputra proper.
• The Kameng (2), called Jia Bharali in Assam, rises in Tawang district and joins the Brahmaputra near Tezpur.
• Other tributaries include the Subansiri, Manas, Teesta and Dhansiri.
