Why the answer is (d)

• In 2015–16 Rajasthan explored an artificial inland port near Jalore, to be linked to the Arabian Sea at the Gulf of Kachchh by a 400-km navigational channel through Gujarat, to give the landlocked State sea access — option (d).

• Andhra (a) and Karnataka (c) are coastal; Chhattisgarh (b) made no such proposal.

• Hence option (d).

Andhra Pradesh is coastal and needs no inland port.
