Why the answer is (d)

• 1 m³ = 100 cm × 100 cm × 100 cm = 1,000,000 cm³, and since 1 litre = 1000 cm³, 1,000,000 ÷ 1000 = 1000 litres, so statement 1 is correct.

• 1 metric ton is defined as 1000 kg, so statement 2 is correct.

• 1 hectare is defined as 10000 m², so statement 3 is correct.

• Since statements 1, 2 and 3 are all correct, option (d) follows.

Why the other options are wrong

(a) 1 and 2 only: Option (a) is wrong because it excludes statement 3, which is correct as 1 hectare = 10000 m².
(b) 2 and 3 only: Option (b) is wrong because it excludes statement 1, which is correct as 1000 litres = 1 m³.
(c) 1 and 3 only: Option (c) is wrong because it excludes statement 2, which is correct as 1 metric ton = 1000 kg.
