  1. (a) 1 only
  2. (b) 2 and 3 only
  3. (c) 1 and 3 only ✓ UPSC's answer
  4. (d) 1, 2 and 3

Why the answer is (c)

• Garba is the circular folk dance of Gujarat performed during Navratri (pair 1 correct); Yakshagana is the traditional theatre-dance of coastal Karnataka (pair 3 correct).

• Mohiniattam is the classical dance of Kerala, not Odisha (whose classical dance is Odissi) — pair 2 wrong.

• Hence 1 and 3 only, option (c).

Why the other options are wrong

Yakshagana–Karnataka is also correct.
(b) 2 and 3 only
Mohiniattam is from Kerala, not Odisha.
(d) 1, 2 and 3
