• M-STrIPES (Monitoring System for Tigers – Intensive Protection and Ecological Status) is a GPS/GIS-based software and mobile app developed by the NTCA and Wildlife Institute of India in 2010 for patrol tracking, crime mapping and ecological monitoring in tiger reserves — option (b).

• It was used in the 2018 and 2022 All India Tiger Estimation.

• It is unrelated to captive breeding (a), NavIC (c) or highway security (d).

• Hence option (b).

Why the other options are wrong

(a) Captive breeding of Wild Fauna
M-STrIPES is a monitoring tool, not a breeding programme.
(c) Indigenous Satellite Navigation System
It is not a navigation satellite system.
(d) Security of National Highways
It has nothing to do with highways.
