With reference to Mian Tansen, which one of the following statements is not correct?

Why the answer is (a)

• The question asks for the statement that is NOT correct.

• Option (a) is not correct: the title 'Tansen' was conferred by Raja Vikramjit of Gwalior, not by Akbar; Akbar gave him the title 'Mian'.

• The other statements are true: Tansen composed dhrupads on Hindu deities (b) and on his patrons Rewa's Raja Ramchandra and Akbar (c), and is credited with ragas such as Miyan ki Malhar, Miyan ki Todi and Darbari Kanada (d).

• Hence option (a).
